MILO Cereal and Oats

MILO Cereal ranked in the top 10 in the Australian cereal category* is changing for the better.

We are continually looking for ways to improve the nutrient composition of our cereals. Over a period of 5 years we have been working towards meeting the Tick criteria, with a series of step-wise changes designed to help consumers adjust to ensure we continue to deliver the unique MILO taste consumers expect.

Since 2006, the wholegrain and fibre content has doubled, and saturated fat has halved. As a result, this reformulation has earned MILO Cereal, the Heart Foundation Tick. In addition its sugar content has reduced by 12%.

The Heart Foundation Tick is a symbol used to identify healthier choices for consumers within a category. For the breakfast cereals category, we must meet a strict nutrition criteria for energy, saturated fat, sodium and either wholegrain or fibre in order to earn the Heart Foundation Tick logo.

The MILO Cereals range that includes MILO, MILO Duo and MILO Oats will all feature the Heart Foundation Tick logo from January 2011.
